Reduce Roadside Fatalities By Changing Lanes

Although it is not a well-known law, there is a law known as the Move Over Law that state drivers should move into the other lane when passing a vehicle that is stopped on the shoulder of the highway. If it is not safe to move into another lane than it is necessary to slow down by at least 15 mpg when passing stopped vehicle.

The Move Over Law stands in all 50 states and is very important to obey. Every year many people at killed on the highway in accidents involving fast-moving vehicles. People like you and me and even police officers have been killed. It is avoidable, however, if drivers will just slow down. We here at Jaguar Morris County want to remind you to pay attention to the road and always watch for stopped vehicles. Be sure to always obey the Move Over Law and help to reduce those highway fatalities.
